Remember the Ice Bucket Challenge from a few years ago? Did you participate?
Peter Frates was one of the earliest champions of the Ice Bucket Challenge. The videos became a viral video sensation online and generated awareness and millions of dollars for ALS research. Earlier this week, Peter died at the much too young age of 34. He leaves a legacy of strength and determination, which proves one person has the power to make a difference.
It is with great respect that I re-share my own ice bucket challenge video from a few years ago to honor the life and memory of this courageous young man.
If you’re inclined, you can help support The Peter Frates Family Foundation. His foundation is on a mission to aid progressed ALS patients and their desire to stay at home with those who love them most.
I am humbled by Peter Frates and his courageous determination to make the world a better place and to give hope to others living with ALS.
He is a true hero.
ALS challenge: thank you to Michael Mckeon, Robert Barclay and Jane Piecuch for sending me the challenge… It has been met. I now challenge Larry Lynch, Valerie Nadeau Oberle and Doug Binder – Do the ice bucket challenge and send money to charity 🙂
